Nearly 40 years ago, Wally Willrick came to see Dr. Benaim for a regular eye exam. At the time, he only used glasses to read. However, his vision was becoming foggy and blurred. When he would drive at night, the lights from an oncoming street light or a car’s headlights looked like a giant starburst. “I knew there was something wrong,” Wally says. As it turned out, Wally had cataracts in both eyes, which needed to be removed. Dr. Benaim performed cataract surgery on both of Wally’s eyes. Now, more than 37 years later, Wally has 20/25 vision when covering each eye and 20/20 when using both eyes together. The results have exceeded Wally’s expectations: “To this day, everything is nice and clear and vision is excellent.”
